Prosthodontist - UCLA Esthetic Dentistry Director

Dr. McLaren received his D.D.S. from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, where he graduated Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After several years of general practice, he received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics from UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. McLaren maintains a private practice limited to prosthodontics and esthetic dentistry in which he does all of his own ceramics. He is the director of the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry, a full time didactic and clinical program for graduate dentists. He is also the founder and director of the UCLA school for Esthetic Dental design. Dr. McLaren has an appointment as an Associate Professor in the Biomaterials and Advanced Prosthodontic department. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the University of Oregon Dental School.

Michel Magne, MDT
Beverly Hills Dental Laboratory

Michel Magne is born in la Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland ) in 1958. He grew up and followed his primary education in Neuchâtel, where he certified as Dental Technician in 1979. He developed his technical education in fixed prosthodontics (ceramics) and esthetics until today. Between 1985 and 1991, he was consecutively directing two dental laboratories as Master Ceramist and he specialized in implant-supported work, complex oral rehabilitation and bonded porcelain restorations. From 1992 to 2004, he has been the owner and director of Oral Design Center, Dental Laboratory in Montreux (Switzerland). In January 2005, he became Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and Director of the Center of Dental Technology at the University of Southern California (USC, Los Angeles). Since January 2009 he is President and Director of 901 Michel Magne, Dental Laboratory and Dental Education in Los Angeles, (USA).

Dr. Joseph Kan
Prosthodontist - Loma Linda University Faculty

Dr. Joseph Kan completed his specialty training in Prosthodontics as well as the Master degree from the Implant Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD) in 1997. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and the research coordinator for the Implant Dentistry Program in LLUSD. He also maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics and Implant Surgery.

Dr. Brian LeSage
Prosthodontist - Beverly Hills, CA

UCLA and private practitioner in Beverly Hills, CA. Dr. Brian LeSage graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 1983. Over the past 20 years, he has established solo practices in Washington D.C. and Beverly Hills, CA. He has taught at the University of Maryland and UCLA School of Dentistry plus developed the UCLA Aesthetic Continuums level I and II for teaching dentists the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. He has obtained Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has earned Accreditation and Fellowship (only one of 32) status in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In 2001 he was appointed to be an ADA Seminar Series Lecturer.

Dr. Kyle Stanley
USC Esthetic Faculty

Dr. Kyle Stanley graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and then went on to complete a dental implant residency along with a dental implant specialty in Florianopolis, Brazil. While at USC, Dr. Stanley completed an 18-month Esthetic Selective program with the world leader and “father” of minimally invasive Biomimetic dentistry, Dr. Pascal Magne, and was honored with the Charles L. Pincus Award for outstanding achievements in esthetic dentistry by the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Francesco Mintrone
Program Chairman

Dr Mintrone graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthesis at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in 2000. Once graduated, he attended numerous majoring courses in order to perfect his knowledge in the fields of prosthetics and dental implants. Winner of the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry UCLA/gIDE 2009/2010. Winner of the video contest for prosthetic case studies at Nobel Biocare Symposium 2010. Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). He regularly lectures at national and international courses on whole-porcelain and non-invasive dental preparation techniques. He currently works out of a private practice specializing in cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic
Program Chairman

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic was trained in periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda University and in Prosthodontics at University of Aachen, Germany. He lectures extensively worldwide and has published over 60 articles and book chapters. Dr. Jovanovic practices dental implant therapy and bone & soft tissue reconstruction in Los Angeles. He is Founder and Academic Chairman of gIDE Institute.
