David graduated in 1991 from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Chile. From 1992 to 1995 he pursued a Masters of Science in Periodontology and Osseointegration at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL Leuven, Belgium), under the guidance of professors Daniel van Steeberghe and Marc Quirynen. Upon returning to Chile, Dr. Rosenberg founded the International Center of Periodontology and Osseointegration (CIPO). A successful private practice, considered one of the most important in Santiago de Chile. He is an active member of the European Association of Osseointegration since 1993, and the Academy of Osseointegration since 2000. He is also an Associate Professor and Researcher at the University of the Andes, since 2001.
From the years 2006 to 2009 he pursued Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training with Professor Bertrand Jaques at CHUV University Hospital in Lausanne, Switzerland. Since 2009, David serves as the Director of Graduate Studies of the Faculty of Dentistry and part of the academic staff of Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of the Andes. In 2011, he enrolled in the PhD program at the International University of Catalunya, researching topics in the areas of Periodontology and Oral Medicine. In February 2015, he was appointed as the Chief of Dentistry at the University Hospital of the Universidad de los Andes. It is noteworthy that in the last 5 years, David was awarded 2 important and large operating grants from the Chilean government, for Research and Development in the field of Dentistry and particularly in Periodontology. Dr. Rosenberg is an established lecturer and well-published in International journals, such as Journal of Periodontology and Journal of Clinical Periodontology, to list a few.
