Optimalization of Sinus Augmentation Procedures

LOD-007-04

Prof. Massimo Simion

90 min

This program will explore the literature, materials and techniques for augmenting the maxillary sinus. An evidence-based review of sinus lift techniques will be presented and will provide the audience with the necessary means and know-how for improving and optimizing the short-term and long-term prognosis for both the sinus lift procedure and for the implants placed in sinus lift procedures. The suitability of various bone grafts and bone replacement materials will be presented as well as the platelet-rich plasma technique (PRP) in addition to stem cell enhancement. Traditional techniques like the osteotome and lateral window as well as variations like simultaneous vertical ridge augmentation will be reviewed. Intra-operative and post-operative complications will be discussed and steps given as how to prevent them.

All-Ceramic Solutions On Teeth & Implants

LOD-007-03

Dr. Edward A. McLaren

90 min

Designing anterior restorations with optimum esthetics requires correct treatment planning, evaluation of a suitable ceramic material, and skillful application and techniques. The use of metal-free ceramic materials allows to achieve excellent esthetic results in the anterior area for crowns and veneers fabrication. Material selection with dental ceramist is fundamental in management of complex rehabilitation cases. Several clinical follow-up of glass ceramic and alumina and zirconia systems indicate the adequacy of these materials for anterior and posterior restorations. Clinical and technical suggestions for obtaining esthetic and durable results will be supplied.

Contemporary Approaches to Soft Tissue Behavior Around Dental Implants

LOD-007-02

Dr. Bernard Touati

126 min

The ultimate test of every successful dental restoration is the long-lasting health of the surrounding soft tissues, which should be achieved predictably in each and every surgical and restorative implant treatment. This WebLIVE! will depict cutting edge treatment modalities of gingival integration concepts to obtain the optimal conditions, utilizing innovative papilla techniques, atraumatic surgical techniques and titanium, alumina, zirconia materials toward functional and natural-looking restorations.

The lecture will cover transmucosal biocompatibility of implant, abutment, and restorative materials, submergence/emergence profiles, connections/disconnections of prosthetic parts, scanning or impression of abutments connected during 1st stage surgery, and explore treatment options from diagnostic models through immediate provisionals to the optimal definitive ceramic-based restorations.

Aesthetic Results Using The Scalloped Implant Design

LOD-007-01

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic

154 min

The last few years have seen major advancements in biological understanding of peri-implant soft tissues, bone regenerative results and implant aesthetics. These advances have allowed a very precise 3-dimensional implant position and a predictable restorative result with natural beauty and gingival harmony. Results from 3 clinical centers with the new scalloped implant to maintain inter-implant bone and papilla tissues will be presented. A panel discussion will be moderated between the 3 presenters.

Ridge and Sinus Grafting In Implant Dentistry

LOD-005-00

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic

118 min

This special presentation highlights in 2 consecutive lectures, the clinical and biological criteria to consider in ridge and sinus grafting using autogenous bone, bone filler materials and resorbable and non resorbable membrane configurations. The first part of the presentation highlights the indications and solutions with resorbable membranes and bone graft materials around implant exposures and in sinus treatment. The second part focuses on the possibilities with the vertical ridge augmentation technique using non-resorbable TR-membranes and bone grafts in posterior mandible and maxilla and the anterior maxilla. A question and answer period of 30 minutes with both lecturers concludes the session.

Edentulous Jaw and Different Implant Treatment Options

LOD-002-12

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic

103 min

The options of treating the edentulous jaw will be described in detail. Radiographic and clinical analysis will demonstrate which option can be used by the dental team for implant and prosthetic reconstruction.

Mandible:
This lecture will discuss the surgical treatment steps of the mandible with 2, 4 and 6 implants and its prosthetic outcome for removable or fixed benefits.

Maxilla:
This lecture will discuss the surgical treatment steps of the maxilla with 4, 6 and 8 implants and its prosthetic benefits.
Medications for surgical treatment and pre-operative planning will be discussed.

The Edentulous Jaw Restoration - An evaluation of different restorative options

LOD-002-11

Dr. George Perri

62 min

Edentulous patients desire restoration of their chewing ability and esthetic enhancement. This presentation will provide treatment planning, indications and expectations for different restorative options for the edentulous jaw. Treatment steps will be presented how to successfully choose between a removable and a fixed prosthesis and how to educate the patient. A focus is made on removable overlay challenges and how to manage them.

Immediate tooth replacement and surgical challenges

LOD-002-10

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic

75 min

Tissue preservation is the main focus of this presentation. This lecture will discuss in detail the indication and steps for immediate tooth replacement of a healed and a fresh extraction socket. The needed bone quantity and quality, soft tissue biotype and implant choice and stability will be presented. Flapless surgery has increased in indication due to its simplicity and atraumatic healing capacity, but needs to be executed carefully to ensure implant success.

Immediate Tooth Replacement and Restorative challenges

LOD-002-09

Dr. George Perri

46 min

Diagnosing cases and case acceptance for ITR. Immediate temporization concepts and abutment choice. Final restorative design and loading period.
