Dr. Andre Saadoun
A major evolution in periodontology has taken place with less invasive surgery and more sophisticated approaches.

The predictability of the different therapeutic modalities and the long-term prognosis involve a scientific approach in all clinical procedures using one or several delicate osseous and/or muco-gingival plastic surgeries.

Part 2 focuses on the treatment of gingival recession.

The Class IV restoration - Maximizing esthetics and predictability
LOD-129-00
Dr. Sunil Bhoolabhai
The lecture looks closely at the optical properties of anterior teeth and how to integrate resin with natural tooth structure to replace both the physical and optical properties of teeth. Layering techniques for Class IV direct resin restorations will be discussed in detail using the latest generation of resin systems.

Direct resins present many challenges that include gradual discoloration of the resin, marginal leakage, difficulty in obtaining a texture match and white lines at the margin. The presentation discusses finishing and polishing techniques that deliver indiscernible Class IV restorations without any shine thru.

Different methods of inserting Class IV’s with matrices and silicone stents will be discussed and demonstrated.
LOD-128-00
Dr. Vinny Celenza
Clear, accurate and easy to read replication of our tooth preparations is a pre-requisite to creating well fitting restorations. Making beautiful impressions requires much more than a knowledge of dental impression materials. This presentation is designed to develop an understanding and technique for: soft tissue control, tooth preparation design, precise margin placement, impressioning, and developing the room for our impression material. Clinical cases depicting particular clinical challenges will be presented and discussed in a way that allows the practitioner the ability to easily try these techniques in the office immediately.
Veneer Restorations - Essential Steps for Esthetic Success
LOD-124-00
Laminate Ceramic Veneers are widely accepted as the treatment of choice for long term esthetic anterior restorations. Among many advantages, when compared with conventional crown preparation, this modality of treatment allows the clinician to obtain an outstanding result in terms of esthetic, as well as a conservative preparation, saving a great amount of tooth structure if correct planning is applied. Temporary restorations will be described carefully to help the dentist and the patient have a preview of the final treatment. Clinical success also depends on bonding procedures. Each detail of the most recommended technique for luting a ceramic veneer will be presented. The correct treatment planning is based on photography documentation, comunication with the laboratory and clinical steps. All of which will be discussed in this presentation.
Implant Practice Management and Marketing
LOD-123-00
Dr. Zeljko Popadic
This presentation covers the important steps in clinical practice how to communicate the skills of an implant clinician and how to organize the dental office staff. In todays modern world, a clinician has to be trained to be a manager running a small, medium or large corporation. How do I motivate my staff? How do i brand my office or clinic? What logo do I use to represent me and my skills? What communication do I have with my patients locally or further off? Can the internet be used to introduce and position a dental office in front of the eyes of a prospective patient and what should be placed into a website? These are all questions which are important for a clinician today and Dr. Popadic has impressive knowledge in this topic and knows how to transfer it to his colleagues.
Treatment of Complications in Sinus Grafting
LOD-122-00
Dr. Istvan Urban
This lecture covers some of the most important points in implant surgery and in particular in sinus bone graft surgery which have to do with preventing problems and complications and how to diagnose and treat them when they arise. It is very difficult to find a scientific presentation on this topic and is therefore highly recommended for the implant clinician who performs or is getting ready to perform sinus bone graft surgery.
Ridge Augmentation Using rhPDGF Growth Factors
LOD-121-00
Prof. Massimo Simion
This lecture covers the topic of ridge augmentation using the line of growthfactors termed rhPDGF (Gem-21) mixed with xenograft, TCP and autograft for implant placement. The scientific background and the first clinical cases are discussed and demonstrated. The new bone graft material shows to be an enhancement to the current technique of GBR.
