Full Mouth Rehabilitation (Part 1 of 2) - A Systematic Approach

This lecture will be focused on the esthetics analysis that should be done every time when approaching an esthetic and functional rehabilitation. <br><br>Starting from the facial analysis and continuing with the dento-labial analysis, phonetic analysis, dental analysis and then finishing with some concepts of occlusion, we will try to provide a guideline to the full oral rehabilitation.<br><br>This presentation will examine, with a step by step approach, the rehabilitation of a case of dental erosion in which all operative stages are guided from the initial esthetic analysis and subsequent previsualization of the final tooth profile before starting any active therapy.<br><br>We will evaluate 3 cases of full mouth rehabilitation where the use of dental implants will become more consistent. Immediate implantation and immediate provisional restoration is a well-documented surgical-prosthetic technique for the replacement of single tooth.<br /><br />One critical goal in implant placement is the achievement of optimal soft and hard tissue integration with minimal post-operative tissue alterations. Flapless Immediate post-extraction placement, socket augmentation and immediate provisional restoration seem to be a technique that gives satisfactory results in selected cases. <br /><br />The main rationale and one of the most important reasons for immediate implantation and loading is the preservation tissue dimensions both bone and soft tissue. Moreover, when bone shape and quality are compromised, immediate implantation becomes a major contributing success factor. Nevertheless, most of the literature and clinical data relates to single tooth replacement and not to multiple neighboring hopeless teeth.<br /><br />This presentation will discuss the rational and benefits of multiple neighboring immediate implantations and loading in the esthetic zone. The pros and cones as well as indications, case selection and complications will be referred and cases of multiple immediate implantations accompanied with immediate loading in the esthetic zone, will be presented.

These tools allow for streamlined treatment and laboratory protocols that can be modified to meet the individual needs of each patient.
