Learn all aspects of Advanced Implant Procedures, GBR Vertical and Horizontal Grafting, Sinus Augmentation, Full Arch Implant Treatment, Digital Workflow and Complications in Implant Dentistry.

Lectures

The surgical aspect will focus on advanced implant procedures, GBR vertical and horizontal grafting
Sinus augmentation, periimplantitis and complications in implant dentistry
The digital workflow will describe virtual implant planning, scanning of implant bodies and gingival emergence, 3D printing of surgical guides and single implant and full arch hybrid temporaries.
The choice of implant design and its benefits in deficient and poor-quality bone will be presented.
The restorative aspect will focus on esthetic results for single to full-arch solutions using analog and full digital workflows, optimal implant positioning, abutment choice and long-term clinical outcomes.

Live Surgery

Patient treatment by faculty will focus on advanced surgical treatment with implant placement and GBR/soft tissue grafting in the anterior esthetic zone.

Full arch patient surgery with 3D surgical and stackable guides, implant scanning protocols with 3Shape and photogrammetry with PIC scanner and delivery of 3D printed full-arch provisionals.

Workshops

The class students will practice the following procedures:

GBR horizontal and vertical bone grafting with collagen and TR-PTFE membranes, fixation pins and screws, bone graft materials and growth factors using plastic and pig jaw models.
Full-arch straight and tilted implant placement and restoration using plastic models.
Sinus bone graft procedures using lateral and crestal lift approaches.
Engaging implants (Straumann BLX and TLX) for socket and full arch treatment using special models.

FACULTY

Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic is considered a global expert in Implant Dentistry and one of the founders of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and Esthetic Implant Surgery with over 80 scientific publications. He presents his clinical and evidence-based implant protocols globally and is Academic Chair of the gIDE Institute, Past-President of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Past-Co-Director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center, honorary member and award recipient of several academic organizations and editorial boards for scientific journals and Past-Faculty of UCLA, Loma Linda Univ, Univ of Aachen, Hong Kong Univ, Buenos Aires Univ, Chulalongkorn Univ and others. He was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry; in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda Univ and in Prosthodontics at Univ of Aachen, Germany and holds a Master of Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from UCLA.Dr. Jovanovic’s practice and research emphasize bone and soft tissue regeneration and esthetic implant management.

Dr. Miles Madison DDS entered the University of Southern California at the young age of sixteen, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Biological Sciences in 1985. He then attended UCLA School of Dentistry where he again graduated with top honors and was the recipient of numerous academic awards.

Dr. Madison is board certified in I.V. sedation, and hypnosis. He is also the innovator of numerous advanced techniques, and lectures nationally to other dentists and periodontists. He is the recipient of numerous honors and awards throughout his remarkable career. His passion for education is exemplified in his position as a Visiting Lecturer at UCLA School of Dentistry, his status on the California Board of Dental Examiners General Anesthesia, and as a Conscious Sedation Evaluator.

Dr. Piero Papi is a Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Sciences at “Sapienza” University of Rome, where he earned his PhD in 2021 studying systemic conditions and peri-implantitis. He has held visiting positions at top institutions including Harvard, UCL, and the University of Zurich, and was awarded Italy’s National Scientific Habilitation in 2020. A recipient of the “Young Pro Award” and several prestigious research grants, including the ITI Research Large Grant and the Italian Fund for Science Starting Grant, his work focuses on peri-implantitis and tissue regeneration. Dr. Papi has published over 70 scientific articles, lectures in postgraduate programs at “Sapienza,” and serves on editorial boards and scientific societies. He is also an international speaker and opinion leader for Straumann, Botiss Biomaterials, and Hu-Friedy.

Dr. Joseph Kan received his DDS from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry (LLUSD), California, USA, and then completed Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry with a Master of Science degree. He is currently a Professor and teaches at the Advanced Education Program for Implant Dentistry and the Advanced Education Program in Periodontics at LLU.
Dr. Kan also maintains a private practice. In addition to lecturing nationally and internationally, he has published more than 100 referenced articles and book chapters on interdisciplinary treatment planning, periodontal and peri-implant tissue management, and immediate tooth replacement concepts.

After that date, there will be no refunds. gIDE may cancel scheduled courses up to thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled start of the course if certain attendance minimums are not met. gIDE is not responsible for reimbursing prepaid (including non-refundable) customer travel costs.
